Kingswood is a village lying about 6.5 miles to the south east of Maidstone. The main village was constructed in the early 1960s with some earlier sporadic development. A road through Broomfield to the North leads to the A20 trunk road which connects Maidstone to the West and Ashford to the East.
TRANSPORT.
J8 of the M20 is about three miles. Main line stations are available at Lenham (four miles) or Hollingbourne (2.5 miles) on the Ashford/London Victoria line.
SCHOOLS.
Kingswood has a primary school. Senior schools at Lenham or Maidstone.
RETAIL.
Limited in the village but there is good local shopping at Lenham and Bearsted (each about four miles)
This is a large suburban area straddling the A20 between Maidstone and West Malling. They lie mostly between J4 and 5 of the M20 motorway.
There are many popular residential developments in this area catering for a wide range of price brackets.
TRANSPORT.
There is good access to the M20 at J4 and 5 with railway stations at New Hythe (link line) and East and West Malling (main line) for London Victoria.
SCHOOLS.
There is a good range of primary and secondary schools in this area.
RETAIL.
There are various local shopping facilities in addition to which Larkfield offers a Morrisons supermarket and a Tesco Superstore. At Ditton (Quarry Wood) there is a large retail park
Leeds village lies about five miles south east of Maidstone. Much of Leeds fame is due to its proximity to the moated Leeds Castle, nowadays a major tourist attraction. There is a nine hole golf course in the castle grounds. Leeds has limited facilities but boasts two popular public houses.
TRANSPORT.
The M20 (J8) is about 1.5 miles. There are railway stations at Hollingbourne and Bearsted on the Ashford to London Victoria line.
SCHOOLS.
Leeds has a primary school. Senior secondary and grammar schools are available in Maidstone.
RETAIL.
There are no village shops but good local shopping is available at Bearsted (about three miles).
